The original grid system was developed by Nathan Smith as a solution to streamline web development workflow. The grid system is ideally for rapid prototyping, but would work just as well in a production enviornment.
STRUCTURE
The grid is divided into 16 columns that are each 60 pixels wide. Each column has a margin of 10 pixels on both the left and the right. The margins create a 20 pixel wide gutter between each column.
